Though it doesn’t provide much of privacy, this house is a great sample for a modern, energy efficient living. Timber flooring creates a warming effect all over the house. Everything is put in the right place to maintain the house’s minimalist and aesthetical aspect. The house was built using energy efficient system including a radiant hydronic heating, HRV air exchange system, large glass windows and tight thermal envelope. Rainwater is used to irrigate a small yard surrounding the house. Energy efficient is also implemented for the interior seen from the bamboo flooring, water efficient fixtures and FSD-certified cabinetry. Every spot in the house is captivating and offering the highest comfort for the inhabitants. What’s more about this house is that it is located only 200 meters from the Semiahmo Bay.
